Happy Monday!
I hope you all had a fabulous weekend and have remained germ free!
It was great to see you all last week for parent conferences. I appreciate you taking the time out of your day/night to discuss your child's progress, I know schedules can be pretty packed! For those that could not make it, we will be setting up another time to meet.
We are still collecting donations for our Military Care Package drive which will be ending on Nov.20th. It is not too late to donate!
Today, a yellow slip of paper went home with your child regarding our annual City-wide Food drive. Donations of non-perishable food items will be collected up until December 4th.
Miss Benoit began our first unit of science last week, states of matter. Students will be exploring what will happen when heat is added to or taken away from a solid, liquid and gas. We will participate in a variety of engaging hands on experiments but, we can not do it without your help! Two experiments call for household "junk" like, tin foil, styrofoam, bubble wrap, plastic wrap etc. It would be helpful students could bring in some of these items to add to our already growing collection.
Wednesday there will be no school in observance of Vereran's Day.
Be on the lookout for several tests that will be in your child's backpack; Math Unit 2, Spelling test and a Selection Test. I was a correcting machine this past weekend :)
