When I looked at my calendar this morning I could not believe my eyes! I can't believe we are already headed into the month of December. I don't know about you but, time is certainly flying!
This week is a sad week for Room 001. Miss B is leaving us on Friday, December 4th. She will be finishing her finals and headed to a new school to work with a new batch of students...how lucky are they? The kids and I will miss her very much! I am sure that Friday will be an emotional day for all.
Tomorrow, 12/1, there will be a science test on our unit of study, States of Matter. The students finished a study guide today that has important test material on it. They were asked to put it into their homework folder. Please ask your child to show you.
Thursday, 12/3, Mr. Feinstein will visit our school for a 9am assembly in the gym. We are pretty excited! To show school spirit, please have your child wear/bring their Feinstein sweatshirt to school so that they can wear them to the assembly.
Last week, I stapled into your child's planner an A.R. update. Thank you for acknowledging your child's progress. I will be doing these updates periodically so that you are kept aware of their progress toward their goals. The students have many opportunities throughout the day to take A.R tests, especially during our ELA center rotations.
Looking Ahead:
December 1: Picture retakes and banking
December 15: Banking
December 16: Report Cards issued
December 18: Holiday Shop
December 22: Holiday Concert at AHS. This event will begin at 6pm. Students are encouraged to wear blue and white to show their Willett Spirit.
December 23: Half day
