Today we began our hands on science lessons. The students were to predict which would melt faster; a solid ice cube or crushed ice. They observed in 5 minute increments and it was determined that the cup of crushed ice melted faster than the cup with the solid cube. They learned about surface area and how that may impact the melting process. We are looking forward to building mini freezers, insulators with all of your donated household "junk" as well as participating in hands on learning experiences with the concepts of condensation and evaporation.
Thank you to all those that have donated to our Military Care Package Drive. The deadline for the drive is November 20th. Also, a big thank you to everyone who contributing to the city-wide food drive! This drive is going on until December 4th. Any little bit helps!
Next week is a two day school week. We have no school 11/25-27 due to Thanksgiving break to enjoy with family and friends.
Selection Test, Unit 2 Math Assessment and Spelling test all went home last week. If you have not seen these, please ask your child to share these with you!
Hope you have a wonderful week!
